Perlis Consolidated Sdn Bhd was
incorporated as Tae Hwa Jaya Sdn Bhd on 14 February 1984. It was a joint-venture between
Tae Hwa Industrial Co. Ltd. from Korea and Perlis State Economic Development Corporation
and a group of local investors. The factory and the machineries were commissioned in
December 1985 and production started in April 1986.
The main activity of the company is producing PVC sheet products. It is the first PVC
floorings manufacturing factory in Malaysia. Its technology and expertise is brought in
from Korea. In 1991, Perlis State Economic Development Corporation purchased the whole
equity held by Tae Hwa Jaya Sdn Bhd from Tae Hwa Industrial Co. Ltd.
On 30th December 1995, Perlis State Economic Development Corporation completed the
disposal of its 87% stake in Perlis Consolidated Sdn Bhd to Land & General Bhd.
Currently Land & General Berhad holds 99.64% of the issued share capital of the
company.
